2012 Cruzin Event Report

A fantastic day seemed to be had by all at Cruzin For A Cure 2012.

Car’s gathered at UWS Parramatta from 9am and headed off on the cruise down to Camden Airport via the M4 and Northern Rd about 10am. On arrival at the airport everyone received an entry bag which had some good stuff like picnic rugs in them.

A few cars went directly to Camden Airport while some of the American Muscle Car Club meet up at Masters Gregory Hills for a short drive to the airport. As people arrived the BBQ was already on, jumping castle up ready for the kids & all the raffle prizes on display.

We had a fantastic variety of raffle prizes and again this is want everyone wanted to get their hands on as we raised the most money selling raffle tickets. Thanks again to all our sponsors who donated raffle items.

About 12.30pm we were lucky enough to have PolAir – the NSW Police Helicopter come and visit us. Everyone seemed to love looking though the chopper and the guys were very friendly and great with the kids.

We ended up having a very good day and thanks to everyone who attended we raised $4,710 for the Westmead Medical Research Foundation.

That brings our tally to $80,282.68

Next year will be the 10th running of the event. We should have a date set by end of January so stay tuned so you can mark it on your calendar.

Cruzin For A Cure - 2012

Cruzin For A Cure will be held on Sunday 4th November 2012. The meeting point for the cruise will be 9.30am at University Western Sydney (UWS), Victoria Road, Parramatta for a 10.00am departure.

The cruise will head to Camden Airport where there will be a BBQ, Jumping Castle, Face Painting, Airport Tours, Raffles, Dj and more.

Entry will be $10 per car and will be collected at the gate at Camden Airport.
